Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the PowerBankPrice website and everything published on it (the “Service”). By opening or using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Provider

The Service is provided by Dr. Jan Philip Wahle and Lars Benedikt Kaesberg, Siedlungsweg 24, 37124 Rosdorf, Germany. Contact: [email protected]. Full provider identification is in the Imprint.

2. What the Service is

PowerBankPrice is a free, advertising-financed price-comparison site. It retrieves power bank and portable power station listings from Amazon, reads capacities (mAh and Wh), pack sizes and output ratings out of them, and ranks the listings by a computed price per 100 watt-hours of nominal battery energy: the stated capacity in mAh multiplied by 3.7 volts, or the stated watt-hours where the two agree, and a power station’s stated watt-hours. How that is done is described in the methodology.

Anker, INIU, UGREEN, Baseus, Belkin, EcoFlow, Jackery, BLUETTI and other names of manufacturers and their product lines are trademarks of their respective owners; MagSafe is a trademark of Apple Inc. and Qi2 of the Wireless Power Consortium. We use them only to identify the products listed (nominative use). Their use implies no affiliation with, endorsement by or sponsorship from any manufacturer, and we are not a manufacturer of any product listed here.

The Service is informational. It is a reading of publicly available listing data, produced automatically, and offered on a best-effort basis. You are not required to register, and no account, contract or ongoing obligation arises between you and us from browsing the site.

3. No warranty for prices, capacities, outputs or rankings

Prices change constantly and what Amazon shows at checkout is what applies. Figures on this site are snapshots from the last synchronisation, not offers, not quotes, and not a guarantee that a product is available at that price, in that pack size, or at all.

Capacities, energy figures, pack sizes and output ratings are read automatically from listing text written by sellers and manufacturers, and are their statements, not ours. A power bank’s energy is its stated capacity in mAh at a nominal cell voltage of 3.7 volts; the energy a device actually receives is lower after conversion losses, and the “rated” capacity some labels print beside the headline figure is never used. Where a listing’s stated watt-hours disagree with its mAh, or a title names more than one capacity, the figure is marked with a tilde (~) and can be hidden entirely. Power banks with exaggerated capacities exist on marketplaces; capacities that no battery of the stated weight could hold, and prices per watt-hour far below the market, are not ranked, but no price comparison can verify a capacity. Outputs are the seller’s stated maxima, not measured figures. Parsing can misread, listings can be wrong at the source, and a price per watt-hour is only ever as good as the label behind it.

To the extent permitted by law, we therefore give no warranty that any price, capacity, energy figure, output or input rating, pack size, weight, airline or travel statement, certification or safety statement, ranking, availability indication, rating, currency conversion or derived metric is accurate, complete, current or fit for any particular purpose, and no warranty that any category, listing, country or feature will remain available. Verify anything that matters on the product page itself before you buy. Section 15 governs liability; nothing in this section limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.

4. Not safety, certification or air-travel advice

PowerBankPrice compares prices. It does not test, certify or recommend any power bank or power station, and no listing on this site is presented as UL, CE, UKCA or PSE certified or as safe: whether a product carries a valid certification mark is for you to check with the seller or the manufacturer. In Japan, mobile batteries must bear the PSE mark under the Electrical Appliances and Materials Safety Act; we do not verify that any listing does.

Airline limits mentioned on this site (under the IATA guidance most airlines follow, up to 100 Wh in carry-on baggage without approval and 101–160 Wh with the airline’s approval) are information only. They are never checked against your airline, route or the product, and rules change: ask your airline before you fly. Whether a power bank charges your device, and at what speed, depends on the device and its charging standard and is for you to check before you buy. Nothing on this site is technical, safety or travel advice or a recommendation to buy any product.

5. We are not the seller

We do not sell, ship, import, distribute or stock any product shown on this site. Every purchase is a contract between you and Amazon or the respective third-party seller, on their terms. Capacities, energy figures, outputs, certifications and airline or travel claims are statements of that seller or manufacturer, not ours. Payment, delivery, returns, warranty, product safety, battery defects and any claim arising from a product are matters for that seller and manufacturer, not for us.

6. Advertising and affiliate links

Outbound product links carry an Amazon Associates tag and are marked as advertising. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases, at no additional cost to you. That is how the Service is financed. Rankings are computed from the data alone; placement is not for sale, and no manufacturer, brand or seller pays for position, inclusion or exclusion.

7. Permitted use

You may use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, and you may link to it freely. Search engines and AI assistants are welcome to crawl, index, summarise and quote individual figures with attribution and a link to the page they came from — that is the point of publishing a number nobody else computes, and our robots.txt says so.

You may not, without our prior written consent:

8. Our rights in the site and the data

The Service, its category model, its normalisation methodology, the metrics it computes and the compiled collection of listings behind them are protected by copyright and by the sui generis database right under Sections 87a et seq. UrhG (Directive 96/9/EC). We are the maker of that database. Except for the permitted uses in Section 7, all rights are reserved. Nothing on this site grants a licence to any trademark.

9. Third-party content and trademarks

Amazon, the Amazon logo and related marks are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. Brand and product names are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used for identification only. Their appearance here does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from those owners.

10. External links

The Service links to external sites, principally Amazon marketplaces. We have no influence over their content, terms or privacy practices, do not adopt them as our own, and accept no liability for them. Once you follow an outbound link, that site’s terms and privacy policy apply.

11. Availability and changes to the Service

The Service is provided free of charge on a reasonable-effort basis. We give no uptime guarantee and are not responsible for outages caused by Amazon, our hosting, our upstream data providers, your network, or other services outside our control. We may at any time add, modify, suspend, restrict or discontinue individual categories, countries, metrics, features or the Service as a whole, including for technical, legal, commercial or data-licensing reasons — for example if a data source changes its terms. You have no claim to the provision, restoration or continuation of any particular feature, figure, category or country.

12. Beta and experimental figures

Some figures are explicitly marked as estimates, derived values, or experimental. They are provided as-is, may change or disappear, and should be treated as an indication rather than a result.

13. Your conduct

You are responsible for the searches you run and for what you do with what you find. Do not use the Service to build, verify or distribute claims about products that you have not checked at the source.

14. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify and hold us harmless from third-party claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these terms — in particular a breach of Section 7 — your unlawful use of the Service, or your infringement of third-party rights through use of the Service or its data. For consumers (Verbraucher within the meaning of Section 13 BGB) this applies only to the extent permitted by mandatory consumer-protection law and only where the claim is attributable to your fault.

15. Liability

We are liable without limitation for damages caused by intent or gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz), and under guarantees we have expressly given. For slight negligence we are liable only for the breach of essential contractual obligations (cardinal duties), and that liability is limited to foreseeable damages typical for a service of this kind. All further liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

Because the Service is provided free of charge, our liability is in any case governed by Sections 521 and 599 BGB where those provisions apply. Subject to the preceding paragraph and to the extent not already excluded, our aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or in connection with the Service or these terms is capped, per affected user and per twelve-month period, at one hundred euros (EUR 100).

In particular, and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for a purchase decision made on the basis of a price, capacity, output rating or ranking shown here, for a price that changed between synchronisation and checkout, for a listing that was misparsed, unavailable or withdrawn, for indirect or consequential damages, or for lost profits or savings. Section 4 applies to any decision about the safety, certification or air-travel suitability of a power bank or power station, and about whether it suits your device. This allocation of liability also applies in favour of our legal representatives and any persons acting on our behalf.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes in the Service or in the law. The current version is always available at this URL, and the date at the top says when it last changed. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

17. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer habitually resident in the EU, you retain the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence. Where a place of jurisdiction may lawfully be agreed, it is Göttingen, Germany.

We are not willing or obliged to participate in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. The former European Commission online dispute resolution platform was discontinued on July 20, 2025.

18. Severability

If any provision of these terms is or becomes invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in force. The invalid provision is replaced by the statutory rule that comes closest to its commercial purpose.
